Abstract
The article gives an overview of methods for the determination of thermophysical properties of solid particulate materials. Different models for calculating the thermal conductivity and thermal diffusivity of porous materials are presented. A comparative analysis of hot wire, stationary, laser-heated, calorimetric, monotonous heating methods was made.

Abstract
Dielectric and magnetic inductivity as well as electrical conductivity specify electromagnetic properties of thin films and nanomaterials. The article theoretically proves non-invasive on-line measurement method for electromagnetic parameters of thin films and nanomaterials frequency range. The method is based on the following: the controlled surface is sounded with electromagnetic signal, with reflected signal being analyzed afterwards. Mathematical description of measurement procedure is supplied. Based on that, parameters in question are being calculated. This includes measurement of reflected signal amplitude and phase at different frequencies. Then, combined nonlinear equations are solved.

Abstract
The ways of solution and setting conventions on the necessity of using general terms for experts in various adjacent trends of physics - where confusions and variant readings in publications are observed - are proposed. Such terms as measurement, experimental and instrumental errors, direct and indirect measurements are also considered. It is proved that, for indirect measurements, the value of instrumental error depends on the model of a system under investigation. The relevancy of the proved dependence, proposed innovations and the peculiarities of indirect measurements are grounded by concrete examples borrowed, in particular, from ellipsometry and polarimetry.
