The influence of the inadequacy of the a priori knowledge about the properties of measurement results and standards used in the formation of estimates of the probabilistic characteristics of errors is considered. The mathematical support of the procedure for determining the dependence of reliability on the inadequacy of the form of the probability distribution of the estimated estimate, excluding the residual systematic error of the measurement results and the value reproduced by the standard, as well as the volume of the sample used, is presented
